We're in the latter stage of the course. Things are coming to an end as we make the final arrangements to our prototype. As teststing is done and the final presentation is being discussed, the team shows its best face. Seen from a greater perspective, what we have -almost- done can be seen as not much, but it's a short project, there's no good reason in being a pessimist about it. In fact, I'm actually really happy about the progress we've made.
Eduardo Galeano once wrote that human life is like a sea of little fires. Everyone contribute to this sea of fires, some with a brigther, stronger light, some colder, or shyer. If we think of this little fires as individual human's contributions towards a bettering of the living condition of others, maybe they aren't so many. Maybe it's a lake, not a sea. Or maybe the sea rests above a greater sea, a sea of ashes. The ashes of those who couldn't be fire anymore. Well maybe what we are doing is destined to the sea of ashes, but that's always one of the possibilitie. And if that's the case, so be it. It can go to a sea of fires, or a sea of ashes, either way they're both better than a sea of nothing.
