First week, eventhough we are all grown ups, getting to know people for the first time make us ansious. This time it came with a mayor complexity: At Espacio Interdisciplinario, foreing people, a new city, talking in English...it was a scenario full of unkown experiences. For everybody it meant a barrier that had to be tore apart.
English first, Portuguese then, finishing with spanish, we chose the language we felt safe with, but at the end it didn't matter, because one way or another we ended up talking and sharing with everybody.
Teachers made or way much easier, though. They kept us busy, kept us talking, and kept us getting to know each other by playing, doing activities that might not be for grown ups, luckily, we forgot how to grown ups sometimes.
Is it a great group? I don't know
Are we doing the right thing being here? I don't know
Are these new people the kindest and making everything easier? They certainly are
