One fun first week has passed and now, with the start of week 2, it's time to get "serious". Week 2 was the week that marked the "real" beggining of our LAPASSION experience. Groups were formed, classes became more intense, general themes were decided and we were given our first assignment.
In concern to the theme, the one choosen by us was idleness and recreation, or, to go by a more generic way, what can be done with children free time? In order to try an answer that question we first have to be more informed about the theme and it's here that our assignment came in handy.
The assignment that we mention above was no less than interviewing relevant persons to our theme, like teachers, educators, parents and, the most important of them all, children.
We wrote down some relevant questions concerning our main theme and started interviewing. For the foreigners of the group, Tomás and Ana the interview task was facilitated by the locals, Romina, Diego and Macarena, especially Romina because, on the weekends she volunteers in a church group full of children and educators.
With the end of the interviews, came the time where we had to analyze them. But we'll leave that to week 3.
